Warranty Registration
Green Oil Tanks 12 year consumer warranty
This form is for the following oil tanks only: G-650, G-1000, G-1200, G-1350, G-1750 and G-2400.
By this warranty, Green Oil Tanks guarantees this product (but not any accessories, such as any fittings, alarms or gauges) to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of TWELVE YEARS from the date of manufacture.
If during the period of this warranty the product proves to be defective due to improper materials or workmanship Green Oil Tanks will, without charge for labour or parts, repair or (at Green Oil Tanks’ option), replace the product or its defective parts upon the terms and conditions set out below:
Terms & Conditions
- In order for this warranty to apply:
(a) the product must be installed by an OFTEC registered engineer or its installation must have been approved by a building control officer and the online warranty registration must be received by Green Oil Tanks at 8 Balderton Business Park, Hawton Lane, Newark, NG24 3GL within 30 days of installation. On receipt of the online warranty registration, you will receive a confirmation email, to confirm the warranty has been registered.
(b) damage to the product must not result from:
i) misuse (which includes, but is not limited to failure to use the product for its normal purpose or in accordance with the written instructions supplied with it);
ii) normal wear and tear;
iii) accidents, lightening, water, fire or any cause beyond the control of Green OilTanks;
iv) moving and/or re-installing the product following its initial installation;
v) transporting the product following its purchase by you.
(c) the product must be inspected annually by an Oftec approved engineer and any repairs, modifications or cleaning must be carried out by an Oftec approved engineer using Oftec approved spare parts or products.Visual inspections by your Oftec approved engineer and to be signed off (in event of a claim proof may be required);
(d) the type and serial number of the product must not have been altered, deleted, removed or made illegible;
- To claim under this warranty:
(a) you must present to Green Oil Tanks the order number quoted at the time of purchase, evidence that the tank was install by an OFTEC technician and all annual inspections (pursuant to clause 1(c)) have been carried out and Green Oil Tanks reserves the right to refuse to provide this warranty if the above documents cannot be presented or if the information contained in them is illegible or incomplete.
(b) the product must be used within any country within the European Union.
- This warranty is subject to English law and the English courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from this warranty.
- This warranty is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights under applicable laws in force.
It should be noted that regulations for domestic and commercial installations are in force. For commercial, industrial and institutional installations, all tanks must have secondary containment.
In a domestic situation, secondary containment is recommended, and for this warranty to remain valid it is imperative that this bunded tank is installed and remains as a bunded system, in accordance with Green Oil Tanks’ terms and conditions above.
